Purpose
GIGT compliance support is designed to improve transaction readiness and reduce avoidable gaps before a case reaches a bank or institutional counterparty. Final compliance decisions remain with the institution responsible for the transaction.
Compliance as transaction readiness
Compliance should not be treated as a final obstacle after a deal has already been negotiated. In cross-border finance, it is part of transaction design from the beginning. Identity, ownership, source of funds, commercial rationale, counterparties, jurisdictions and document integrity can all determine whether an institution is able to proceed.
GIGT's role is to help clients organize information and identify obvious gaps before formal institutional review. Final KYC, AML, sanctions, risk and approval decisions remain with the relevant bank or regulated institution. The benefit of early preparation is practical: fewer contradictions, clearer explanations and a stronger audit trail.
We begin with the commercial objective, parties, value, timing and existing documents before recommending an execution path.
Where banking, legal, regulatory or specialist approval is required, the relevant institution retains its own independent decision-making responsibility.
